This cast bronze incense burner is an early 20th century product. It is 6 ½” high (with carved hardwood base is 9 ¾” high) and 9 ¼” in diameter. Two bands of archaistic designs surround the upper half of the body. The lower half contains four floral designs which are repeated in relief on the cover of the vessel. It is in great condition.

It was carved by a late Meiji period (1868~1911) artist Tozan (東山). It depicts a smiling wood cutter taking a break and tying his straw sandal lace. A sparrow is resting on his straw hat. It is 6 1/5" high, 3 7/16" wide (from the bottom) and 3" thick (from the bottom). Aside from two hair line cracks; one on his back head and one on the bottom, it is in great condition.

This pair of carved ivory emperor and empress are late 19th or early 20th century export pieces. The emperor is 12 ¼” high, 2 ¼” wide and 1 ¾” thick. The empress is 12 1/8” high, 2 ½” wide and 2” thick. The emperor is holding a sword and the empress is holding a Ruyi. The robes are very well carved with dragon and phoenix designs. There is honorable “Great Ming” mark on the bottom of the empress. They are in excellent condition.

This 17th century (Ming Dynasty) blue and white Swatow ware jar is 13” high and 9 ¾” wide. There are four small round loops on the top. The blue glaze artwork depicts a fierce dragon flying through clouds. Judging from its shape, it might have been a wine container at that time. There is one small old repair on the spout. It is in excellent condition.

It depicts a well known Chinese story “The goddess of Luo River.” A groom drives a dragon cart over the river while the goddess Luo sits in the cart. Two maids are following them. This finely carved noble lady is a mid or late 19th century product. It is 12” high, 2 ¾” wide and 2 3/8” thick. There is an honorable “Yong Zheng” mark on the bottom. The lady is holding a bunch of lily blossoms in her left hand and a basket of peony blossoms in her right hand. The statue has great patina. Aside from some loss of coloring and a small old repair to a broken tassel on the front of her robe, it is in excellent condition.
