Early 20th century Chinese carved ivory brush holder. Immortals in a scene of mountains, trees and pavilions. Attached carved ivory base. It has a very small chip on the background. H: 4 ½ inches, Diam: 3 ¼ inches

This late 19th century famille-rose bowl (cup) is 1½ inches tall and 2½ inches in diameter. It depicts one red bird standing on a tree branch and chrysanthemum blossoms on the side. The translation for the four Chinese characters is ¡°This style of drawing copies the Yuan Dynasty¡±. It is in excellent condition.

Late 19th century blue and white porcelain bird feeders. Hand painted with three horses resting under a willow tree. They are an unusual hexagonal shape and in perfect condition. H: 1 ¼ inches, W: 2 ½ inches

This jade (jadeite) carving Bi (璧) is a late 19th or early 20th century product. It is a quarter of an inch thick and 3” in diameter. It depicts two Pixie (辟 邪) on one side and four swirling patterns on the other side. It is in great condition.

This 19th century blue and white moon flask with handles is 12” high, 8” wide and 3 ½” thick. It depicts two lions (Shi Zhi) surround by clouds playing with balls. There is a Kang Xi honorable mark on the bottom. Aside from one small chip on the handle, small hairline cracks on the bottom and a few flaws from firing, it is in good condition.

This pair of Chinese carved white jade brush handles date from the late 19th century. One handle is carved as a dragon (male); the other presents the phoenix (female). According to tradition, before a marriage, both families will exchange gifts. If the groom is a scholar, the bride¡¯s family will give a complete set of scholar¡¯s tools as gift. A wealthy family will provide a very expensive gift. A pair of jade brush handles can serve that purpose...

This late 19th century ivory carved Buddha with two children is 8 ½ inches tall, 3 inches wide and about 2 inches thick. It depicts a smiling Buddha (Hotai) standing on a rock, his left hand is holding prayer beads; his right hand is holding a small fruit. There are two young boys sitting on his shoulders. The statue is mounted in a frame, like a shadow box. The framed piece is 11 ½ inches tall, 6 ½ inches wide and 3 inches thick...

This late 19th century Chinese ivory statue of a bearded scholar is 5 ½ inches tall and 3 inches wide at the widest part. His eyes are half closed; he holds a scroll gently against his cheek. There are two characters read as ¡°Da Ming¡± on the bottom. The inscription means ¡°Great Ming Dynasty¡± which is quite common on ivory carvings or porcelain. There are a few hair line cracks due to the age of the piece. Over all, it is in great condition.

This very well carved Chinese ivory bead and green glass necklace is a 19th century product. It is 38” long and contains 78 ivory beads and one large glass bead. Originally, carved ivory beads were part of court necklaces in Qing Dynasty. The ivory beads are ½” in diameter; the glass bead is ¾” in diameter. Aside from minor wear due to its age, it is in great condition.

Chinese silver tankard dated during China Trade Period (1795~1840). Its tapering cylindrical body depicts a hunting scene with an ear-shaped dragon handle. There is stamped maker¡¯s mark ¡°W¡± on the bottom. It is 4 inches high and 4 inches wide (including handle). It is in excellent condition.

These early 20th century Chinese carved ceramic turquoise (or robin’s egg) and gold seal boxes are around 1 3/4" high and 2 13/16" wide. One top depicts two women in a room; the other depicts a family in their garden. Peach trees, lucky bats and clouds are carved all over the bottoms. The honorific "Great Qing Dynasty Qian Long made" are stamped on the bottoms. Aside from some loss of gold pigment due to their age, they are in excellent condition.

This 19th century red (almost ox-blood) glazed brush washer has fine crackles covering the entire body and a splash of green sheen in the middle. It is 4 ¼ inches in diameter and 1 ¼ inches high. There are a few small chips on the bottom. Good condition.

20th century Japanese satsuma vase is 12 inches tall and 6 inches wide. It depicts several geishas walking on a path near a lake during spring. There are mountains in the background, flowering trees in the foreground and houses surrounded by trees. It is signed ¡°koshida.¡± It carries a gilt circular rim with multicolor flowers below and around the bottom. It is in great condition.

This 19th century Japanese wood netsuke of NASUBI (eggplants) in a basket is 5/8 of an inch tall and 1½ inches wide. It was carved from KOKUTAN (ebony) and is not signed. It depicts one large eggplant and two smaller ones setting in a woven basket. It is in excellent condition.

This is a 19th century Japanese imitation of a Chinese cloisonne bowl. It has a white background and fish, horse and floral design on both the exterior and interior. There is a square brass seal reading ¡°imitate Ming¡± on the bottom. In this case, ¡°Ming¡± is a general name for Chinese or Mandarin. It is 10 inches in diameter and 4 ¾ inches tall. Good condition.

This carved ivory netsuke of a smiling mask is 1 1/2" long and 1 1/8" wide. It is a late 19th century piece; it is not signed. It is in excellent condition.

The two Chinese bamboo root carvings are about 12 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches thick. They came as a pair but can be displayed separately. They were carved in the late 19th century. Both depict wild geese. Their heads are turned toward a lotus and some unknown plants are behind them. The taller of the two is a little darker. Beside some small cracks and chips they are in fairly good condition.

This early 20th century ivory carved beauty is 10 3/4 inches tall, 2 ½ inches wide and 2 inches thick. She wears a simple and elegant robe and holds a bouquet of flowers. The black metal stand is a later custom made piece. The statue is in excellent condition.
