This unusually shaped carved bone snuff bottle is a late Meiji period (1867~1911) product. It is 2 3/4” long, 1 ¼” wide and ¾” thick. It depicts a curled shrimp as the body of snuff bottle. The bamboo spoon is a replacement. It has a great patina and is in great condition.

This mid 19th century Chinese jade (nephrite) carving is 3 ½ inches long, 2 inches tall and 2 inches wide. It depicts two monkeys resting on a reclining horse. This unusual jade (jadeite) pendant is 2 ¼” long, 2” wide (measured from the widest part) and 5/8” thick (measured from the thickest part). It is a late 19th or early 20th century product. This late 19th century Chinese Famille Rose Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) plate is 1 ¾ inches tall and 9 ½ inches in diameter. Hundreds of flowers such as peony, chrysanthemum, lily, lotus, wisteria and hibiscus cover the entire plate. Two separate floral (peony) designs are on the back. It has an honorific Qian Long mark on the bottom. The workmanship is excellent. The gold edging on the rim has slightly rubbed off. Aside from this minor wear, it is in great condition.

This pair of Qing Dynasty Famille Rose Mille Fleurs (thousand flowers) plates are 1 ¼” high and 9 ¾” in diameter. They depict a large pink peony in the center and chrysanthemum, lily, hibiscus, iris and several unknown flowers cover both plates. There are Guang Xu (1875~1908) marks and three separate floral (peony) designs on the bottoms. The workmanship is elegant. The gold edging on the rims has slightly rubbed off. Aside from this minor wear, they are in great condition.

This 19th century Chinese molded ceramic statue is 8 ¾ inches high, 7 ¼ inches wide and 3 ½ inches thick. It depicts a sitting young boy holding a frog. There is a square maker’s mark “Yi He” stamped on the bottom. The statue has its original leather and silk box from Spink and Son’s. It is in excellent condition.

This ivory carving of the goddess of mercy, Guan-Yin, is an early 20th century product. It depicts Guan-Yin holding a pearl in one hand and a vase in the other. There is a tiny sitting Buddha in her hair. It is 9” high (with fitted hard wood base it is 10” high), 2 ½” wide and 1 1/8” thick. The carving is superb and it is in excellent condition.

This massive mid or late 19th century white jade (nephrite) carved Ru-Yi scepter is 18 ½” long, 5 ½” wide (from the widest part) and 3” high (from the highest part). The whole scepter was carved from a single piece of nephrite. The carving depicts mythical figures, animals and buildings surrounded by clouds. Aside from some natural flaws in the stone, it is in excellent condition.

This 17th century carved polychrome wood head of Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) is 15 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 7 inches in depth. The solid teak wood base is 3 ¼ inches high, 9 inches wide and 8 ¾ inches in depth. This statue was part of the collection of a professor who spent over 20 years in China. Some of the color has come off and there is a long crack on the back of her head due to the age of this statue.
