This mid 19th century, Tokyo School wood carved netsuke is 1 ¾” high, 7/8” wide and 3 /4” thick. It is not signed. It depicts a young boy wearing some kind of bib, holding his belly with both hands. It is in excellent condition.

This mid 19th century famille-rose seal box is 1¾ inches tall and 3½ inches in diameter. It has Qian Long mark on the bottom. The mark is fictitious which is quite common. It is decorated with a floral design. Though the color is slightly worn and tiny chip appears inside the cover, it is in great condition.

This small 19th century Chinese carved nephrite cup is 3 ¼” long 1 ½” high and 1 ¾’ on its widest part. The cup was carved to look like an old bronze vessel. A dragon (or beast) head is carved on the top of the handle and belt like “Ru Ding” design encompasses the entire body. Aside a tiny indentation on its rim, it is in great condition.

These mid 19th century Chinese carved wood statues are around 12 inches high, 8 inches wide and 5 inches deep. They depict two young men sitting on a Qi Lin (or Qi Ren). Their arms are raised up and they are holding gold ingots. Both Qi Lin have a loose ball in their mouths. The workmanship is great, especially the detail of the Qi lin’s faces. Aside from slightly worn colors and portions of the statues are missing due to age, they are in good condition.

This 18th or 19th century green glazed and carved porcelain brush holder signed by ¡°Wang Bing Rong¡± is 5 inches tall and 3 ¼ inches in diameter. It depicts a plum tree in full bloom. This massive mid or late 19th century white jade (nephrite) carved Ru-Yi scepter is 18 ½” long, 5 ½” wide (from the widest part) and 3” high (from the highest part). The whole scepter was carved from a single piece of nephrite. The carving depicts mythical figures, animals and buildings surrounded by clouds. Aside from some natural flaws in the stone, it is in excellent condition.

This very well carved Chinese ivory bead and green glass necklace is a 19th century product. It is 38” long and contains 78 ivory beads and one large glass bead. Originally, carved ivory beads were part of court necklaces in Qing Dynasty. The ivory beads are ½” in diameter; the glass bead is ¾” in diameter. Aside from minor wear due to its age, it is in great condition.

This large Japanese late Meiji (1867~1911) ivory carving is 14 ¼” high, 4” wide and 2 ¾” in depth. It depicts a smiling sage carrying a fan in his left hand and holding a long staff in his right hand. A rolled up scroll is tied to the top of the staff. This early 20th century carved coral of lady and two birds mounted as a table lamp is 22” high. The coral lady is 6” high and the embossed brass base is 7” x 7”. There is a small carved agate bird sitting on the top of the lamp. The lady and two birds are standing on a carved hard wood base and branch. It is in great condition.

The two Chinese bamboo root carvings are about 12 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches thick. They came as a pair but can be displayed separately. They were carved in the late 19th century. Both depict wild geese. Their heads are turned toward a lotus and some unknown plants are behind them. The taller of the two is a little darker. Beside some small cracks and chips they are in fairly good condition.
