This 19th century blue and white moon flask with handles is 12” high, 8” wide and 3 ½” thick. It depicts two lions (Shi Zhi) surround by clouds playing with balls. There is a Kang Xi honorable mark on the bottom. Aside from one small chip on the handle, small hairline cracks on the bottom and a few flaws from firing, it is in good condition.

This 19th century Japanese unsigned hardwood okimono of SENNIN (hermit or immortal) is 2 1/8 inches tall, 1 inch wide and 1 ¼ inches in depth. He is carrying a basket of vegetables, and a small double gourd tied on his back. His right hand is missing; there are some chips on his nose, sleeves and both shoes.

This very well carved early 20th century Japanese netsuke is three quarters of an inch high, 1 3/8 inches wide and 1 ½ inches deep. It depicts two playful mice sitting in a woven basket. Both mice have inlayed horn eyes. It is signed “Shozan”. It is in excellent condition.

This Chinese pink glazed vase is a mid 19th century product. The entire body is covered with a soft rosy pink glaze, commonly called du Barry rouge. The Chinese name for the shape of this kind of vase is “Tian Qiu Vase” 天 球 瓶. It is 8” high and 5” wide measured from the widest part. It has an honorable “Yong Zhong” 雍 正 (1723~1735) mark on the bottom. It is in excellent condition. More detailed photos are available.

This late 19th century small Famille Rose brush holder is 4 ¼” tall and 2 ¾” in diameter. It depicts a young boy is trying to light fire crackers. An older girl is covering the ears of another frightened boy. The workmanship is simple and elegant. There is a maker’s mark on the bottom which reads “Xin Yuan Xuan made this.” It is in excellent condition.

This is a very nice Song Dynasty (960 A.D.~1270 A.D.) black Jian ware temmoku tea bowl possibly from the Wuyi mountain kiln in Fujian province. It has nice slightly iridescent glaze with gray body and a preferred glaze style for the ancient whipped Chinese "white" tea. It was excavated before WWII by Marshall Plummer and James Foster. It is 2” high and 4” wide. It is in great condition.

This mid or late 19th century Chinese carved root sculpture is 25 inches tall (with base), 11 inches wide and 3 ½ inches deep. One side carved as a maple tree and rock, the other side retains the natural form of the roots. The fitted hard wood base depicts a pine tree surrounded with rocks. There have been a few minor repairs. It is in excellent condition.

This realistically cast Meiji period bronze vase is 13 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at its widest point. It depicts an eagle resting on an old tree. There is a stamped maker¡¯s mark on the bottom which reads ¡°Hidemitsu¡±. The owner purchased this piece from Sotheby¡¯s in the early seventy¡¯s. It is in excellent condition.

This early 20th century ivory carving of a maiden is 15 7/8” high (17 ½” with base), 3 ½” wide and 2 7/8” thick. She wears a simple and elegant robe and holds a bouquet of flowers in front of her. The carving is superb and has nice patina. The wood base is a later made piece. Aside from some small hair line cracks due to its age, the statue is in great condition. There are mountains in the background, flowering trees in the foreground and houses surrounded by trees. This late 19th century very well carved nephrite of a sage riding a horse is 9 inches high (with wood base is 10 ½ inches high), 8 ½ inches long and 4 ½ inches thick. It depicts an old sage holding a lantern while riding a horse. Though the nephrite has some natural blemishes, it is quite an eye catching piece. It is in great condition.

This carved hardwood cup is 5” high, 4 ½” wide, 3 3/4” thick (both measured from the top). It is an early 20th century product. It depicts three sages surrounded by a river scene. Two sages and their young servant are on a boat; one sage is standing on the river bank. A huge rock, an old pine tree and some unknown trees make the scene very peaceful. Aside from a few small crack lines due to the age of the wood, it is in great condition.
