Ban Chiang is an archaeological site located in Nong Han district, Udon Thani Province, Thailand. It has been on the UNESCO world heritage list since 1992. This Ban Chiang pedestal vase dated 1000 BC is 9 ½” high and 6 ½” wide on the widest part. The stem has been broken and repaired. Similar pieces in the same condition often sell for $450.00 to $700.00. It makes an excellent study piece.

This is a very nice high fired jar from Ban Chiang culture. The jar (ca. 500 BC) has a dynamic design of interlocking swirls and scrolls. It is 4 ½” high and 5” wide. The rim may have been professionally repaired.

This early 20th century South East Asian bone carving is 7” high, 1 ¼” wide and 1 ½” thick. It depicts a deity sitting in a lotus position on a Phoenix throne. His/her hands are held together in prayer. Aside from two tiny pieces missing from the throne, it is in great condition.

This late 18th century South East Asian brown and olive pottery water dropper was made to look like a water buffalo. It is 2 ¼ inches tall and 2 ½ inches wide. The dark olive green glaze covers the entire body but the bottom. It is in good condition except for a few small chips.
