This finely fired tokkuri (sake bottle) was made by Isezaki Koichiro, son of the current Living National Treasure for Bizen wares, Isezaki Jun. Koichiro is a popular and very talented younger potter who has taken influences from his father, Jeff Shapiro, and Kakurezaki Ryuichi and made them his own with very strong and creative results. This is a finely fired tokkuri with many nice firing effects. The artist’s signature is on the side of the original wood box and his mark is on the bottom of the sake bottle. It is 6” high and 3 ½” wide from the widest part. It is in excellent condition.
