A First American Edition published in 1894 by the Century Co. The original green blind stamped cloth boards feature a gilt elephant and tiger to the front and rear. The boards show some wear with modest spotting both on the front and back ( please refer to photos). The book is slightly cocked, and the pages are uncut with top edge gilt. There is a spot on the front paste down and also on few pages. The Content page has a small tear. Black and white illustrations. 303pp.
