Here is a rare and wonderful photo collage of scenes from the building of the Alaskan Highway (completed in 1943.) Original snapshots. The center photo highlights what appears to be the official ribbon cutting; sixteen photos surround it. Below is a cartoon of a bear taking a picture of a man. Not examined out of the frame. 13" x 15".

An excellent reference book signed by the author, Charles H. Carpenter, Jr. and published in 1982 by Dodd Meade. The jacket has a few tears ( see photos) however, this hardcover is in nice tight condition. A fine history of the Gorham Company (Providence, Rhode Island) and their silverware products. There are 295 b&w photographs, 8 color plates, 40 photographs of marks, photographs of 313 flatware patterns. 332pp.
A Vision Shared: A Classic Portrait of America and Its People: 1935-1943. Published by St. Martins Press in 1976. Text by Hank O'Neal, photos by Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans etc... This hard cover coffee table book is tight and clean however the dust jacket is tattered. A small stain is also at the bottom of the front beige linen board. Wonderful B&W photos that capture that period in time.
Great resource. Unstated first edition paperback published by Harmony House in 1975. The cover shows some wear... an area in the corner probably had a label ( it's sticky)..otherwise this highly collectible book is in fine condition.

A sinuous, wide, gold plate bracelet stamped on the back with the crown Trifari plate. It measures 6-1/2" x 1" and shows very light wear. Weight 75.9 grams.
This lot includes McGovern and McGovern~ Shriver pins, lapel pins, bumper stickers and an auction promo.Some of the stickers are slightly musty and curled. The pins are in great shape and vary in size.All sold as is.

An interesting note -- Chase owned The Little Hotel by the Sea (located at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, Calif.) Ca1955 A stunning one- of- a- kind floral necklace with matching clip-on earrings.It features a large multi-dimensional flower with rhinestones, pearls and black enamel leaves. A black glass accent is on the necklace. There is very light wear on the black enamel and one small pearl is missing on an earring. The front of the necklace measures 3-1/2" x 2" and is attached to a 17" snake chain.The clip-on earrings are 1-1/2" round and snap shut tightly. All marked CORO.

Published by Rizzoli in 2001, this oversized coffee table book features many colored photos along with a history of the pearl. In mint condition, a former price is noted in pencil on a free paper. Possibly a first American edition. 223pp.
Here is a rare collection of menus for five days on the SS Paris French line.. Thursday and Friday have minor smudging on the back but this lot is basically in pristine condition.
An unmarked silver bead necklace with turquoise nugget. The necklace measures 16" ~ the turquoise, 1-1/8" x 5/8" (at its widest point).
C 1930 A turquoise necklace with matching dangle earrings. Strung on wire wrapped with thread. One may want to try and restring the necklace since the end of the thread is worn and there with filigree ball. Some of the beads have cracks/nicks. The beads are approximately 13mm. Necklace measures 19"~ earrings hang 1- 1/4". Probably from India.

This appears to be a second edition. A lovely little book with illustrated green cloth boards stamped in gilt.Very slight fading on the spine. Black and white illustrations/plates.Pages are tight though they have yellowed. Very faint stains on the last three pages. 171pp.
Washington Irving. "Revised Edition Complete in One Volume." Published in 1887 by G.P. Putnam's Sons New York. The front features a gilt design on the black leather boards. This is a nice tight edition and smaller book that measures 4.25" x 6.50".
An older, unmarked silver filigree belt that measures 30" x 3/8" including hook clasp. Probably 800 silver.
Unstated first edition published in 1920 by Harcourt, Brace and Company. Green boards with red lettering. The text block is uncut and there is a name written in ink on the front inside board. Otherwise a nice tight copy.
