Felicitas was the Roman goddess of good fortune, productivity and fertility. It is for these reasons that her two primary attributes were the caduceus and the cornucopia. Unlike Fortuna, who was unpredictable and could bring either good or bad fortune, Felicitas had only a positive connotation. It is from Felicitas that the English word felicity originates.
