A HANDMADE SILVER PENDANT WITH GARNETS AND GOLD HEBREW INSCRIPTION
Please refer to our stock # pomegranate2 when inquiring.
Handmade in Israel this finely crafted, 3-dimensional, silver pendant is in the form of a pomegranate.
Each half of the pendant front is separately decorated to reference a different blessing bestowed upon the Holy Land.
On the left are inlaid garnets which have been cut and set to resemble pomegranate seeds. As one of the seven species of plants through which God blessed the land of Israel, the pomegranate symbolizes the abundance and blessing that God bestows upon the Holy Land and His people.
On the right is a Hebrew inscription: “Ani L’dodi V’dodi Li” (I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine) in yellow gold. The text is taken from King Solomon's Song of Songs and is simultaneously a reference to the relationship between God and the Jewish people as well as the relationship between husband and wife.
The back is embellished with a combination of hammering and incision techniques.
