This ring features spore-like protrusions and was made most likely in the 1960s or 1970s. It is a very small size, a 3 ¾, and shows minimal signs of having been re-sized, including what looks like a partial mark for silver (it tests for sterling). There is also a hand-engraved maker’s mark of BARZ. The top measures about 5/8 inch wide by ¼ inch high. Weight: 6.4 grams

Featuring a simple design of vertical bands bound horizontally, this ring is probably 1920s or 1930s, influenced by arts and crafts design. The band has a raised design of tiny discs. The inside of the band bears the sterling mark as well as the maker’s mark of a stylized W inside an inverted triangle, for J.J. White Manufacturing Co., Providence, RI. The ring is small, a size 4 ½ scant. Weight: 2 grams

A delicate strand of graduated sterling beads, it bears the maker’s mark of Binder Bros. Inc., New York. The beads range in size from 3mm to 5mm. The spring-ring clasp is original and in good working order. The necklace measures just over 16 inches long, unclasped. Weight: 15.4 grams

This Victorian revival sterling silver cuff is elaborately decorated with repousse flowers and leaves, with a scrolled reserve at each end. It was made by Kirk & Son of Baltimore, MD, as part of a line of 19th-century-inspired jewelry, some made of pewter. This is one of the larger and more elaborate designs. The sterling and maker’s marks are inside the bracelet. Circumference is about 8 inches, including the 1/2-inch opening; the bracelet is slightly over 1 1/4 inches wide. These earrings have a crafts-like and substantial feel, composed of applied sterling flowers, leaves and vines on a sterling silver backing. Cast as a lion's head and upper body, this ring is especially compelling for its intricate detail. The lion's mane continues from the head down to the ring's shoulder, and the tail rises from the band on the opposite side. It shows hardly any wear; the patina on the lower band suggests there is some age to the ring. The ring is unmarked and is sized to 6 ½; the lion's head measures about ¾ inch wide and ½ inch high. This interesting sterling silver ring features an organic, bark-like surface that extends practically all the way around the band. An unusual link bracelet composed of delicate openwork panels. The box clasp is secure and is engraved with script initials of FW. The back of one panel shows the Swedish silver mark, an unidentified maker’s or town mark and the mark for .835 silver. The clasp is secure and comes with an attached safety chain. The bracelet measures 8 inches long by 9/16 inches wide. Weight: 16.5 grams

This handmade bracelet has a Georg Jensen feel, and was made during the height of Jensen’s popularity in the U.S. It is composed of panels of double leaves that are connected with curled, vine-like, entwined links. The workmanship is of a high quality and the look is classic Scandinavian with its focus on natural forms. The bracelet bears the mark for Lund, a Stockholm maker, as well as sterling marks for Sweden and Stockholm and a 1945 date mark. It measures 7 ¾ inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Weight: 38.2 grams

A lobed, openwork pendant suspended from a v-shaped, flexible neck ring. The neck ring is dated 1975, and bears the city mark for Koeping; the maker’s mark of BFH is unidentified. The pendant is dated 1971, and bears the maker’s mark of Alton, the city mark for Falköping, and the mark of designer Theresia Hvorslev. The widest resting point of the neck ring measures a little over 4 ½ inches; the pendant measures 1 7/8 inches long. Weight of pendant: 8.4 grams. Neck ring weight: at least 10 grams

This bold and intricate ring is the work of Hans Teppich, an Israeli silversmith who was especially active in Jerusalem during the 1950s. Flattened sterling silver wirework curls around an oval cabochon chrysoprase, which is securely bezel-mounted. The stone bears no scratches or other signs of wear. The band is well wrought and strong. The ring top is large, measuring 1 1/8 inches long by 1 inch wide. The Teppich and sterling marks are inside the band. The ring is sized to a little over a 5.

Composed of three thick strands of rope-like white metal chain, braided into one continuous strand. Very dramatic look, and the necklace is surprisingly comfortable to wear, considering its heft. It measures 1 inch wide, with a circumference of about 2 ½ inches; the necklace drops about 15 inches when worn.

Machine-age styling give these sterling silver earrings a clean, distinctive look. They have a warm patina from age, and exhibit very little wear; the clip backs are marked Trifari and are in good working order. The earrings are marked sterling and probably date around 1950. Each measures ¾ inches long by about 5/8 inch wide. Gross weight: 11.8 grams

A classic look from a well-known Italian designer. Made of scored, slightly twisted links, each link bisected by a textured bar. Bracelet has full set of marks, indicating a registration city of Arrezzo, Italy, and .800 silver content. These 9kt gold cuff links are beautifully engraved with foliate designs, and offer a full set of English hallmarks. They are oblong, engraved on each side, with each side attached to the other by a strong chain. The cuff links are of hollow construction. The hallmarks, located on the back of each button, indicate they were assayed in Chester, in 1890, for 9kt gold. The maker’s mark of C&A stands for Candelent & Adams, of Birmingham. Each button measures 3/4 inch long by 3/8 inch wide. Weight: 4.9 grams
