These c. 1910 cuff links exemplify a classic design by a preeminent American maker. Oval, both sides with 14-kt gold backs inset with black mother-of pearl and enhanced with a center seed pearl. The rims are likely platinum. The gold bridge bars are marked for Larter and Sons, Newark, NJ. Each side measures 5/8 inch long by 3/8 inch wide.

A hand-assembled chain necklace composed of tiger’s eye beads and silver rope chain, beads and cylinders. The tiger’s eye beads are secured by wound wire links; the other elements are connected by securely soldered rings. The spring-ring clasp is in good working order and is original to the piece. It is a very solidly made piece. It is unmarked, but all main metal elements test strongly for silver. Doubled, the chain measures 17.5 inches.

A delicate necklace of double rows of green and white enameled flowers on gilded sterling, from the 1960s. There is an unidentified maker’s mark on the tongue and groove clasp, which is also marked sterling and Norway. The necklace measures 14 ½ inches long and ¾ inch wide. Weight: 64.4 grams

Engraved with an elongated diamond pattern on rectangular panels, with ovular anchor links, these 1960s cuff links have a modern, angular look. The bridge bars bear the maker’s mark of Bernhard Hertz, Copenhagen (1936- ). All connections are in good working order; the cuff links show hardly any wear. The rectangular pieces measure 7/8 inch long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 9.2 grams

These elongated silver cuff links are set with cobalt blue spinels, enhanced with an applied silver wire. A copper cuff with deep patination and a leaf-like design of crimped and scored edges. Bright, convex, circular motifs contrast nicely with the darkened surface, with curled terminals. The cuff is unmarked. It measures 1 ¾ inches wide with an internal circumference of a little over 7 1/2 inches; the gap measures 1 1/8 inches across.

This pendant was constructed by a studio jeweler in the Brutalist style. It is composed of a rounded plaque with organic, coral-like protrusions applied to an oxidized surface. The tip of one branch is set with a white sapphire. The bail is very sturdy; the back shows a distinctive but unidentified maker’s mark. The pendant measures a little over 1 ½ inches long (the bail adds another 1/4 inch) and 1 ½ inches at its widest point. It comes with a vintage 20-inch sterling snake chain. This whimsical pea pod pin is handcrafted and decorated with a curling vine, the peas made of graduated malachite beads strung on a wire. The rollover clasp is secure, and the pin is well balanced when worn. It measures 2 ½ inches long by ¾ inches wide. It is conservatively dated at 1960s, and could be older. The pin is marked sterling.

A thin bangle with textured surface is set with four faceted natural rubies. They are bezel mounted with open backs, securely soldered to the bangle. The rubies are highly included and probably untreated; one has slight surface abrasions. The bangle has a 2 ½-inch internal diameter, and an inner circumference of about 8 inches. Each setting measures about ½ inch by 3/8 inch. The bangle is 1/16 inch wide. It is marked 925 for sterling silver.
