This lovely 1950s cameo pin features a peaceful country scene carved in relief against a darker layer of stone. It is detailed in the brickwork and the trees appear to disappear in a mist. The stone, probably an agate, is translucent when held up to light. It sits in a reticulated sterling silver frame that bears a slightly flattened area at the top. There is a secure rollover clasp on the back and a sterling mark inside the frame. The pin measures 1 3/4 inches long by a little under 1 1/2 inches wide.
