A dramatic geometric design composed of a wide, angular, ribbed band that gracefully forms a V-shape. A facted, trapezoidal-cut natural amethyst is mounted at the midpoint in a V-shaped setting with scored edges. The cuff is designed to denote movement, and to sit neatly on the wrist or forearm, depending on how you want to wear it. The inside shows a maker’s mark of SR or STR, and the mark of Santa Fe, New Mexico, retailer Mitzi. It is also dated 1988, and indicates a design name of “Parallels.” The piece looks hardly worn, with no scratches to the silver or the stone. The band graduates in width from about 5/8 inch at the terminals to ¾ inch at the setting. The stone measures 1 ¾ inches long by about ¾ inch at the widest area. The gap between terminals ranges from 1 1/8 inches to 1 ¼ inches; the cuff opening measures 2 1/8 inches across at its widest points. It fits comfortably on a 6 ½-inch wrist, measured at the wristbone. Please note that the color of the amethyst is more of a true purple than shown in the photos.
