The handmade pendant is probably German, mid-20th century. It features a cross-hatched, oxidized surface set with two vividly-colored coral half-beads. The back is marked Handarbeit (German for handmade), and bears a partial mark for .835 silver. There are tiny imperfections on the oxidized surface, hardly noticeable, and a product of hand work. The pendant is 2 ¾ inches long including the bail, and 1 ¾ inches wide; it comes with a 1960s sterling silver cable chain measuring 19 inches long, unclasped (not pictured). Gross weight of pendant only: 8.8 grams
