This sophisticated design is the work of the Polish workshop of ORNO, in Warsaw, made ca. 1965. The curved, open, ovular pendant has a slight twist to it, exposing the highly oxidized interior to all sides, so there is no back or front. The surface features molded horizontal scoring enhanced with oxidation. There are a couple of spots, visible on one side, where the mold left a couple of small, smooth spots. The chain is an especially nice feature, not only original to the pendant, but featuring a design of long, twisted links alternating with short, scored links. There are partial country and maker’s marks at each end link; full marks are inside the pendant (see photo 3, lower right). The entire necklace measures 15 ½ inches long with the chain doubled; the pendant measures 2 ½ inches long, including the bale, by 1 ½ inches at the widest area. Weight: 28.3 grams
