A sterling silver pendant necklace set with colorful stones in an oxidized surface, similar to the style of Matilde Poulat. The pendant is decorated with a central cabochon amethyst and roughly set with small turquoise beads and, possibly, coral fragments. Applied wirework wends around the pendant as well as the four drops. The chain is composed of oxidized bow-shaped elements with tire-tread edges, applied wire filaments, and roughly set tiny turquoise beads. The box clasp is in good working order. The pendant back bears the unidentified but well-known maker’s mark of AA and the post-1980 maker’s mark of TR-35. The necklace measures 20 1/2 inches long; the pendant with drops measures 2 ¼ inches long and 2 1/8 inches across. Gross weight: 63.7 grams
