Sixteen polished stones of various colors and types are set in claw-like mounts in this eye-catching choker necklace from the 1950s or 1960s. The stones appear to be agates and quartzes, and exhibit only very minor wear; there are no serious losses or other damage. The mounts are quite nicely formed to securely hold the stones without pins or adhesive. The box clasp is in good working order. The reverse of the necklace bears the Mexico eagle mark for sterling and three initials for the maker, SHG or SHC. The necklace measures 14 inches long by 3/8 inches wide.
