This handmade bracelet is made of brass that has been molded into an abstract organic form that securely encloses an oval banded agate. It is nicely designed to sit comfortably on the wrist. The stone exhibits no wear and the brass cuff has retained its shape and soft patina. The back of the stone’s mount bears incised marks of a copyright, the date 1971 and the maker’s signature, which appears to be an S followed by ‘Bear.’ The bracelet measures approximately 2 3/8 inches across the opening, with an internal circumference of around 6 ½ inches. The top of the bracelet measures about 1 ¼ inches wide; the stone measures approximately ¾ inch long by 5/8 inch wide.
