Indo Dutch Batik Tulis from early 20th Century MD ("Model Dari" = Style From) Eliza Van Zuylen by Oey Kok Hwa (First Generation) with her handwritten signature. Four small tears = 0.5 cm, 2 mm, 1 cm, 1 cm and three small holes: 1 mm, and two 2 mm holes. Mainly due to age. Standard size "Kain Panjang" of exceptional quality. This is a "Pagi Sore" piece, which translate to "Morning - Late Afternoon", the darker side to be worn in the morning and the lighter side to be worn during late afternoon after shower, therefore giving the one piece two uses during time of austerity around the 1930s and 1940s.
