Vietnamese 15th Century Blue & White Porcelain Dish - Hoi An Hoard (with book)

This attractive and sizeable dish was made during the 15th century. It is well decorated with an attractive floral design inside the bowl and lotus leaf patterns on the outside wall. The glaze is finely crackled. The inside of the foot rim is coated in a brown wash, typical of many Vietnamese pieces of this period.

This attractive and sizeable dish was made during the mid 15th century, probably around the 1430's - 1440's. It is quite "heavily-potted" and has been decorated in underglaze blue in a variety of floral and lotus leaf patterns with a crackled glaze.
