These fine and very rare pottery ladies were made during either the Sui Dynasty (AD 581 - 518) or the early part of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). This pottery model of a soldier was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been cold-painted in white, black and red pigments.
