Chinese Enamelled White Porcelain Bowl – Tek Sing Shipwreck c.1822

This bowl was recovered from the Tek Sing shipwreck, the cargo of which was sold at Nagel’s auctioneers in Germany in 2000. It is relatively “heavily-potted” and its surface has a nice “silky” feel to it. It is coated in a finely-crackled glaze. Small Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Box

This small blue & white porcelain box dates to the 16th century. The underglaze blue decoration features a floral pattern. The glaze is a little crackled in places. The inner surface is glazed whereas the flat base remains unglazed.

Diameter 4.75 cm. There is a barely noticeable surface chip to the glaze at the edge of the lower section - there is no repair or restoration.

This small porcelain saucer dish was made during the latter part of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). It is coated in a thick glaze and simply decorated in underglaze blue with thin lines on both upper and lower surfaces. Diameter 13.5 cm (5.25 inches). This attractively-shaped bowl was made in the 13th - 14th century, during the Koryo Dynasty (AD 918 - 1392). It is glazed all over in a very-finely crackled pale celadon glaze.
