Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Dish Tek Sing Shipwreck 1822

This dish is from the Tek Sing shipwreck dated to c.1822, the cargo of which was sold at Nagel’s auctioneers in Germany in 2000. It is coated in a particularly thick glaze that has "crawled" from the surface in places during firing. Around the rim is painted a iron wash to prevent "fritting" of the glaze during firing.
