This rare pottery vessel was made over 3,000 years ago by peoples of the Siwa Culture (c.1350 BC) from present day Gansu or Qinghai province. Fine Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse

This fine pottery model of a horse was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in a creamy-white pigment with the features picked out in black and red pigments.

Height 21.5 cm (8.5 inches). It is in fine condition with no obvious sign of restoration or repair.

Fine Chinese Tang Dynasty Horse & "Fat Man" Rider with Oxford TL Test

This fine pottery model of a horse and rider was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). Sitting on the horse is a male courtier, often referred to as a "fat man", the male equivalent of the "fat lady"; note the clothing and hairstyle. It is made from a relatively high-fired buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in various coloured pigments.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Bowl (Hongzhi)

This blue and white porcelain bowl with flared rim was made during the late 15th - early 16th century (Hongzhi reign 1488 – 1505). The outer wall is decorated in underglaze blue with a honeycomb pattern below which are lotus leaf panels. This fine-quality porcelain bowl was made during the 16th century, c.1550-1570. The pattern, in underglaze blue of good colour, features chrysanthemum blossoms (the chrysanthemum is the emblem of autumn and also represents friendship and an easy life.
