Thai 14th - 15th Century Sawankhalok Covered Footed Box

This fine stoneware box was made during the 14th - 15th centuries at one of the Sawankhalok kilns. The cover a lotus-bud handle and the lower section an integral foot. The underglaze decoration comprises various geometric patterns that are covered in a finely-crackled translucent pale greenish-blue glaze. The raised centre and handle of the cover, and the wall of the foot are coated in iron-brown.

Thai 14th - 15th Century Celadon Glazed Stoneware Bowl

This ”heavily-potted” stoneware bowl was made during the 14th – 15th century at the Sawankhalok kilns. The inner surface is decorated with simple incised lines and the outer wall with parallel carved ridges. The relatively tall foot remains unglazed revealing the pale reddish brown body.

Diameter 11 cm (4.25 inches). There are a couple of hairline crack and a chip to the underside rim edge but there is no repair or restoration....

This jar was made at the Sawankhalok kilns around the 14th - 15th century. It has three small loop handles placed equidistant around the shoulder. The upper body is coated in a white glaze that has degraded over time, now quite thin and having mostly lost its shine. However, the jar is in good condition with no restoration or repair. Large Rare Thai Neolithic Ban Chiang Pottery Bowl

This large pottery bowl dates to c. 500 - 1,000 BC. It is of a very rare and most unusual form with its semi-spherical body and very wide flared rim. The colour of the pottery ranges from a pale yellow-brown to black, due to uneven conditions during firing. Much of the surface is still covered in calcified root/plant growths / burial soil.

Diameter 26 cm (10.5 inches). It is in fine condition with no sign of restoration or repair.
