Large Chinese 17th Century Monochrome Porcelain Bowl
This large porcelain bowl dates to the 17th century, the degradation and "matt" feel of the glaze suggesting it has been recovered from a shipwreck. The dark olive-brown glaze is finely-crackled. The lower foot remains unglazed and the glaze has worn from the rim edge revealing the pale grey body.
Diameter 21.5 cm (8.5 inches). This bowl has a hairline crack to the wall and a sizeable chip to the foot. However, it is free from any repair or restoration.
