This attractively-shaped small jar was made during the 15th century. It is "heavily-potted" and finely decorated in underglaze blue of very good colour, the pattern featuring scrolling floral and lotus leaf patterns. Height 7 cm. An outstanding example of the variety of smaller Vietnamese 15th century jars. It is in fine condition with no repair or restoration.
This is from a private Cambodian collection of nice quality Vietnamese 15th century blue & white ceramics we have recently acquired.
