Large Chinese Warring States Burnished Pottery Bowl
This rare and unusual grey pottery bowl was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is quite "heavily-potted" with bands of burnished geometric patterns around the outer wall and lightly incised lines around the inner wall. There is possibly some kind of moulded pattern to the base although it is too indistinct to be sure.
Diameter 23.5 cm (9.25 inches). There are chips to the rim, some of which have been repaired, one of which has not.
