Rare Japanese Early Arita Blue & White Porcelain Bowl - 17th Century
Japanese blue & white porcelain production did not start until into the 17th century and early examples are particularly rare and difficult to find.
This bowl dates to the mid to late 1600s and has, interestingly, been excavated from Cambodia. The underglaze blue decoration features a floral pattern. It is in fine condition with a good ring when tapped and no repair or restoration. Diameter 15.25 cm (6 inches).
