Eight Japanese Meiji Arita Blue & White Porcelain Dishes
This "set" of eight matching porcelain dishes was made during the Meiji period (1868 - 1912). Each is octagonal in form, the main underglaze blue decoration comprising honeycomb and floral patterns with a turtle in the centre. The underside of each dish is decorated with simple geometric forms.
The diameter of each dish is approximately 18 cm (7 inches). The only damage is one small rim chip to one dish, otherwise they are in fine condition.
