Very Rare Large Burmese 13th - 15th Century Celadon Bowl
This large stoneware bowl, or dish, was made during the 13th - 15th century. Although clearly heavily influenced by Chinese Longquan celadons of the period, this example was made in Burma. It is "heavily-potted" and coated in a thick heavily-crackled celadon glaze. The unglazed base is fairly roughly cut and has fired to an intense orangey-brown.
Diameter 26.5 cm (10.25 inches). This extremely rare bowl is in fine condition with no restoration or repair.
