Chinese Yuan / Ming Dynasty Longquan Celadon Covered Box
This rare covered box was made during the 13th - 14th century, most likely at one of the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province. It is quite "heavily-potted" and coated in a thick and crackled pale green glaze. There is a very small defect to the glaze at the rim of the lower section, clearly caused during manufacture/firing (see second image), but there is no repair or restoration; a rare example in fine condition. Diameter 9.5 cm (3.75 inches).
