Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Dish / Cup Stand
This small and rare porcelain dish, or possibly a cup stand, was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It stands on quite a high foot and is coated in a translucent pale Qingbai glaze over a hard white body. To the foot edge is what on first sight appears to be a repair, however, close examination reveals this to be a minor manufacturing defect, clearly caused prior to firing.
Diameter 9 cm. Insignificant surface wear and expected tiny "nibbles" around the foot edge, but no restoration or repair; fine condition.
