Fine Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Dish (Ex. Lammers Collection)
This fine porcelain dish with foliate rim was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). It is coated in quite a thick finely-crackled Qingbai glaze that is a very attractive delicate pale green in colour. There is a circle inside the dish that remains unglazed, to allow such dishes to be stacked on top of each in the kiln during firing with the glaze fusing them together.
Diameter 13 cm (5 inches). This fine dish is in exceptional condition with no restoration or repair.
For information: This dish is from the Lammers Collection: see images for more details.
