Small Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Dish - Kangxi
This small dish was made in the late 17th century during the Kangxi reign (1662 - 1722) of the Qing Dynasty. The attractive underglaze blue decoration features flower blossoms. To the underside are floral scrolls and to the base is a seal mark within double rings.
This dish was recovered from a shipwreck by Captain Michael Hatcher of "Hatcher Cargo" fame.
Diameter 11 cm (4.25 inches). Both upper and lower surfaces are coated in sea growths. Of course these could easily be removed but we prefer to leave them in place.
