Chinese Ming Dynasty Small Blue & White Porcelain Dish
This small porcelain dish was made during the latter part of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). The underglaze blue decoration features a Buddhist lion dog. The rim edge has been brushed with a thin iron-brown wash to prevent fritting of the glaze during firing. Diameter 11.75 cm. There is a small chip to the inner foot ring and a difficult to see short hairline, otherwise it is in good condition with no restoration or repair.
