Thai 13th - 15th Century Miniature Stoneware Jar
This very small jar, or jarlet, was made during the 13th - 15th centuries and is a product of the Sawankhalok kilns. Its upper body is coated in an attractive brown glaze, the colour of which varies according to its thickness. The rounded lower body remains unglazed. There is a decorative ridge surrounding the upper body. Height 4 cm. There is a tiny chip to the rim edge but no repair or restoration.
This jarlet, together with some other South-East Asian & Chinese ceramics we are offering for sale, has come from a local collection, established over the last twenty years or so.
