Thai 13th - 15th Century Small Stoneware Jar
This small jar, or jarlet, was made during the 13th - 15th centuries and is a product of the Sawankhalok kilns. Its upper body is coated in a brown glaze, the colour of which varies according to its thickness. The lower body and base remain unglazed. There are two small loop handles joined at the shoulder and mouth edge. Height 5.5 cm. It is in good condition with no repair or restoration.
This jarlet, together with some other South-East Asian & Chinese ceramics we are offering for sale, has come from a local collection, established over the last twenty years or so.
