Fine Thai 14th - 15th Century Sawankhalok Celadon Jarlet
This small jar, or jarlet, is a product of the Sawankhalok kilns and was made around the 14th - 15th century. It is quite "heavily-potted" with the upper surface coated in a finely-crackled celadon glaze. It has two sturdy loop handles joining the shoulder to the mouth. It is in fine condition with just the smallest of surface imperfections to the mouth edge; there is no repair or restoration. Height 6.75 cm.
This jar, together with some other South-East Asian & Chinese ceramics we are offering for sale, has come from a local collection, established over the last twenty years or so.
