Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Celadon Glazed Stoneware Stem Cup / Bowl
This stoneware cup (or small bowl) was made in the 12th - 13th century, during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or the following Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368), most likely from one of the kilns in Guangdong province where many such wares were made for export to Southeast Asia. It is "heavily-potted" and stands on a very sturdy foot. It is coated in a pale greenish-grey glaze that is finely-crackled. The foot remains unglazed and does have some hairlines due to its thickness.
Diameter 7.75 cm. It is in fine condition with no repair or restoration.
