Chinese Qianlong Blue & White Porcelain Dish
This dish was made in the 18th century, during the Qianlong reign (1735 - 1796) of the Qing Dynasty. The underglaze blue decoration is of good colour and features a flower spray within its centre. Around the cavetto and border are geometric bands within which are precious objects. The rim edge has been painted with iron-brown to prevent fritting of the glaze.
Diameter 23 cm (9 inches). There is a chip to the rim edge from which emanates a fine hairline. There are also a few insignificant "nibbles" to the rim edge. There is no repair or restoration.
