Fine Large Chinese Qianlong Blue & White Porcelain Dish
This dish was made in the 18th century, during the Qianlong reign (1735 - 1796) of the Qing Dynasty or possibly a little earlier. The underglaze blue decoration is of very good colour and features various floral patterns. It is coated in a glaze that, on the upper surface, is crackled in places. Iron-brown has been painted around the rim edge to prevent fritting of the glaze.
Diameter 28 cm (11 inches). This dish is in fine condition with no cracks, chips, repair or restoration, and it has a good ring when tapped.
