Chinese Yuan / Early Ming Dynasty Crackle-Glazed Celadon Dish
This "heavily-potted" stoneware dish was made during the 13th - 14th century at the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province. It is coated in a thick green glaze that is deeply crackled. The recessed base remains mostly unglazed revealing the pale reddish-brown body. With no chips and no repair or restoration, and only minor surface wear, this is a very good example in fine condition. It is a medium-sized dish of its type with a diameter of 18.5 cm (7.25 inches).
