Fine Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Dehua Qingbai Porcelain Kendi
This "white ware" porcelain kendi was made during the 13th - 14th century at the Dehua kilns in Fujian province. It has been made in sections that have been luted together prior to the application of the glaze. The upper and lower body are decorated with a moulded floral scroll that is quite nicely defined, especially to the unglazed lower body. It is coated in very finely-crackled qingbai type of glaze that has a hint of blue.
Height 11 cm. It is in fine condition with no restoration or repair.
