Fine Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Longquan Celadon Crackle-Glazed Bowl
This fine porcelain bowl was made during the 13th-14th century, most likely at one of the Longquan kilns in Zhejiang province. It is of a pleasing "semi-spherical" form and is coated in a thick pale celadon glaze that is quite heavily-crackled. The edge of the sturdy foot, and a wide ring to the centre of the bowl remain unglazed, showing that it was stacked on top of other bowls in the kiln as opposed to being placed in an individual kiln saggar.
Diameter 12.75 cm (5 inches). This bowl is in fine condition with no restoration or repair.
