Rare Chinese Ming Dynasty Monochrome Porcelain Dish (small)
This unusual porcelain dish was made during the 16th century. It is relatively "heavily-potted", has a fluted wall and a foliate rim. It is coated in a thick creamy-white glaze that has sagged a little around the rim.
Diameter 16 cm. There are a few very minor surface flakes to the foot ring, very likely caused during manufacture, otherwise it is in fine condition with a good ring when tapped and no repair or restoration.
