Korean Choson / 19th Century Celadon Glazed Bowl
This attractively-shaped bowl was made during the 18th / 19th century, the latter part of the long-lived Choson (Joseon) Dynasty (1392 - 1910). It is "heavily-potted" with a wide body and sturdy foot. It is coated in a finely-crackled pale green glaze. Some of the crackles in the glaze have penetrated the body at the rim and become stained. Around the edge of the foot are signs of kiln grit that became embedded in the thick glaze during firing.
Diameter 13.25 cm (5.25 inches), height 9.75 cm (3.75 inches). Condition is very good with no repair or restoration.
