Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Celadon / Qingbai Glazed Bowl
This bowl of porcelaneous ware was made in the 12th - 13th century, during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or the following Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368), most likely from one of the kilns in Guangdong province where many such wares were made for export to Southeast Asia. The thickly-cut wide foot, as well as the wide stacking ring within the centre of the bowl remain unglazed. The rest of the bowl is coated in a finely-crackled qingbai-type glaze that has mostly fired a greyish-green but that has hints of blue in places.
Diameter 17 cm. This bowl is in good condition and has no restoration or repair.
